Company History

In 1981, Kem-Tec Land Surveyors opened for business in a small five-employee office in Warren , MI . Since that time, the company has seen tremendous growth that still continues today. Between 1982 and 1999, the company has relocated three times, opened Kem-Tec West in Ann Arbor , and seen huge advances in its scope of business as well as inundations in new technology combined with old-fashioned customer service. Currently located in Eastpointe , MI , Kem-Tec services clients throughout 18 counties and is the largest volume producer of mortgage surveys in its market segment.

Kem-Tec & Associates was created in 2000, to service the construction industry and the multiple types of survey and engineering needs of the commercial and residential marketplace. The Associates group has moved quickly on a fast track of growth ranging between the twenty to thirty per cent range annually. The versatility that exists within the organization has created continued career opportunities for those that have grown with it, currently employing a growing staff using "state of the art" field instruments.

The past 25 years has seen advancements in custom software, survey archive, and accounting and sales information which have set Kem-Tec in a premier position in the industry. However, what continues to set us ahead of the competition is the highly trained and customer service oriented work force. Kem - Tec is in process of "building-out" the current facility, opening a full-service office in Grand Blanc, and planning a fourth in Holland , Michigan . This tremendous growth will increase the service coverage area to 30 counties in the southern half of the State.
